Summer, it feels, is winding down.
The debilitating heat (and even the drought) are over. The nights around here have turned cool, the tomatoes are ripening, and we're prepping beds for late season crops.
Just this morning I was wondering where my wool slippers were stashed away. Because my feet were cold (for the first time in months).
Autumn, it seems, is just around the corner.
But before summer lets go we're going to hold it in our hands. We'll be outside - exploring and harvesting and discovering.
What might you find if you wander out beyond the trail?
A stash of acorns, ripe and waiting; an abandoned robin nest from months gone by; a wooly bear who also knows that it's almost time for rest...
This weekend.
Outside, where ever you are.
Will you hold it in your hands?

P.S. Day 1 of The Experiment that I posted about yesterday was a success beyond my wildest dreams. I'll tell you more next week!
P.P.S. Come back tomorrow when I'll be hosting a lovely interview and giveaway with Simple Loving Family.
