Lupine, Sage and I are working on some homemade paper lanterns (with watercolor paintings and kite paper) for these dark days of November. (I promise to share the finished project with you next week!) But playing with the paints yesterday reminded me that I've never introduced you to one of my favorite sources for art supplies, Stubby Pencil Studio. Clean: What inspired you to go into this line of work?
Stubby Pencil Studio: When my twins turned two. I looked for simple cards to send as thank you notes for gifts, but nothing seemed to fit. I made cards for the girls to color and I wrote the note inside - everyone loved them. At the request of friends, I designed more themes and printed the cards on recycled paper to sell locally. Having a website allows us to make the cards available to everyone and I found art supplies like biodegradable soy crayons and FSC color pencils to sell as well. The focus was on eco friendly and do-it-yourself and as I find products that my own children enjoy, add them to studio and hope other families will like them as well.
Clean: How do you believe you and your business are bringing good into the world?
