For those of you who have been around here for a while will remember our annual tradition of birthday photographs.
We've been doing this each autumn since Sage had his first birthday, and rather than formal or posed professional portraits, our candid pictures each year are of the children wearing Pete's and my vintage leather jackets. This season we made time literally on our way out of town, and detoured home to drop the jackets off before we headed south.
This was the hastiest shoot we've done so far, but the results are still sweet. A favorite is the ever so classic Sage and Lupine below. Someday I'll scan the earliest photographs and share them together. That's really the magic of it.
P. S. After a short road trip yesterday I have my camera repaired and ready for photographing the fairy finery sure to fill our house in the coming days! Now if I can just cast of that knitting before midnight...
