(Or: "A Little Thank You, a Little Babywearing Update, and a Little Crafting".)
You all were so sweet with your migraine-remedies yesterday. I have many new tricks up my sleeve for the next migraine (not that I'm in a hurry). I am feeling great today - thanks for the emails. I have to say, the Sarah's Cayenne pepper trick sounds scary/awesome. I'm down. I'll let you know how it works. And the supplement thoughts make so much sense as well, as do the folk remedies. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I feel loved.
In other zones of my life, we're gearing up for the Babywearing Celebration. We've added a Kozy Mai Tai and a Gypsymama wrap in the past two days. If you haven't already done so, please submit your story or poetry and photographs this week. (I'm still waiting on a haiku. Bring it on, babywearers.) We'll feature five of our favorites poems and essays during the Babywearing Celebration and those selected will receive a LuSa Organics gift certificate. The submissions so far have been delightful.
More details on submitting your photos or writing can be found here. Please spread the word!
Edited: Have you looked at the contributions in the Flickr pool lately? These pictures are amazing. I am totally blown away. Thank you so much for the contributions.
And I can't let another day pass without a crafty post. Here is my latest project - a new knitting bag! I usually carry two projects with me (burn-out prevention) so I wanted a generously sized bag. I had picked up the Jane Market Bag pattern from Alicia last year and made one for a friend.
I loved the design, so my sister and I each made one last weekend. It is a sweet design and the fabrics came together perfectly. (It helps to have a sister with an awesome fabric stash to mooch off of. Thanks, Titi!)
I lined the bag with a vintage pillowcase that was a perfect fit. I'm inspired to experiment with Alicia's pattern using two pillowcases.
And those socks in the bag? They are officially know as the One Year Socks. I started them for Sage in June. I have a bit of a block regarding any knitting that involves size 3 needles. I'm an 8-10 girl myself. Instant gratification. But we're in the home stretch. I think his wool socks will be ready by summer. (Whoops.)
What's on your craft list this week?
