Everyday we paint, draw, or otherwise create.
Today was a watercolor day. We love watercolors, wet on wet on nice thick watercolor paper. For paints we often use high quality natural watercolors. We only have primary colors. This limited palate allows the kids to develop color awareness as they blend and combine the basic colors. It is a simple and peaceful craft. So calming for us all.
But sometimes the kids want the instant gratification of orange without the blending. So we have back-up $1 watercolor paints. Lupine was so enamored with the rainbow at her fingertips that she got carried away with her project.
This was not the canvas that I had intended.
Sage soon carried her off to the bath and washed her head to toe with her favorite soap. Very sweet.
Sending you wishes for an unbridled creative day.
